☕Espresso Essentials #

  • An espresso is made when the water is forced through very fine coffee grind to make a very strong, pure shot of coffee.
  • We use only 100% dark roasted Arabica beans for espresso

  • Remark:
  1. Single espresso lungo is a regular single espresso but with more added water
  2. Double lungo is not considered in our menu it is the americano if the customer needs to reduce the quantity of water we can
  3. Single espresso=1oz=30ml
  4. Double espresso=2oz=60ml
  5. Use 4oz cups for single and double espresso and 9oz cup only for americano
  6. Ristretto espresso is same as single espresso but less hot water
Perfect espresso:
  1. 8 gr for single/16 gr for double
  2. Water volume 50ml (Espresso shot=1oz(30ml))
  3. Dripping time :20-25 sec
  4. Backflushing process to clean the espresso machine
Weak espresso:
  1. Below 8gr / 16gr for double
  2. Water volume more than 30ml
  3. Cold portafilter
  4. Soft tamping or without tamping
  5. Grind too coarse
  6. Using the wrong portafilter (single in double porta filter)
  7. Dripping time less than 20 secs
  8. No back flushing
Strong espresso:
  1. More than 8 gr /16 gr for double
  2. Water volume less than 30 ml
  3. Over tamping
  4. Grind too fine
  5. Over 1 min expiry
  6. Dripping time more than 25 secs
  • Shelf life for espresso:
  1. In a closed bag: 6 months
  2. In espresso grinder: 7 days
  3. Espresso shot: 1min
  4. Portafilter: 1 min
