☕Espresso Essentials #
- An espresso is made when the water is forced through very fine coffee grind to make a very strong, pure shot of coffee.
- We use only 100% dark roasted Arabica beans for espresso

| 8 grams of espresso | 16 grams of espresso | 16 grams of espresso with 230ml of hot water |
- Remark:
- Single espresso lungo is a regular single espresso but with more added water
- Double lungo is not considered in our menu it is the americano if the customer needs to reduce the quantity of water we can
- Single espresso=1oz=30ml
- Double espresso=2oz=60ml
- Use 4oz cups for single and double espresso and 9oz cup only for americano
- Ristretto espresso is same as single espresso but less hot water
Perfect espresso:
- 8 gr for single/16 gr for double
- Water volume 50ml (Espresso shot=1oz(30ml))
- Dripping time :20-25 sec
- Backflushing process to clean the espresso machine
Weak espresso:
- Below 8gr / 16gr for double
- Water volume more than 30ml
- Cold portafilter
- Soft tamping or without tamping
- Grind too coarse
- Using the wrong portafilter (single in double porta filter)
- Dripping time less than 20 secs
- No back flushing
Strong espresso:
- More than 8 gr /16 gr for double
- Water volume less than 30 ml
- Over tamping
- Grind too fine
- Over 1 min expiry
- Dripping time more than 25 secs
- Shelf life for espresso:
- In a closed bag: 6 months
- In espresso grinder: 7 days
- Espresso shot: 1min
- Portafilter: 1 min
